What is DEPO?
DEPO Auto Parts Industrial Co., Ltd. is a Taiwanese company that makes replacement lighting for cars and light trucks, including headlights, tail lights, fog lights and corner lights. Its history goes back to 1977, it is listed on the Taiwan stock exchange, and it manufactures in Taiwan and China. It offers more than 40,000 headlight products for the replacement market. DEPO lights are certified to ECE and SAE/DOT standards, and several of its products are approved by CAPA, the US organisation that certifies replacement car parts.
DEPO and Lucid
Some DEPO lights are sold under the brand name Lucid, mainly for older models. Lucid lights carry the same part numbers and packaging as their DEPO equivalents, with the Lucid name in place of DEPO. Where we stock a Lucid-branded light, the product page says so.
Lucid and DEPO boxes share the same label layout and part-number format, and both are made in Taiwan.
How DEPO makes its lights
DEPO is also an original equipment (OEM) supplier. It makes lights for car manufacturers themselves, including Honda, Chery and more than 15 European car brands, and OEM supply now accounts for around a fifth of its business. Its facilities include a research and development centre and a dedicated mould-making centre in Taiwan. Each new light is studied in detail before its mould is made, so the finished part fits and works like the original. Production then includes:
- Chrome finishing on the reflector and inner housing, comparable to genuine
- A UV-protective coating sprayed onto the lens, which helps prevent yellowing and fading
- Quality control checks before each light is packed
DEPO's quality management follows IATF 16949 (formerly TS 16949), the same automotive quality standard car makers require of their own parts suppliers.

How to order the right DEPO headlight
- Note your model, year and variant, for example Corolla XLi, GLi, Altis or Grande, since variants of the same model can use different lights.
- Choose the side. Sides are named from the driver's seat, so the right headlight is on the driver's side.
- Match the type. Some models have both halogen and LED versions, such as the Civic X. Compare the product photo with your current light.

Are DEPO headlights genuine?
No. DEPO headlights are aftermarket parts made by DEPO, not by the car manufacturer. We list them under our Leading Aftermarket grade.
Are DEPO headlights good quality?
DEPO is an established manufacturer with certified lights, and it is the lighting brand we recommend for most customers. In our experience, a DEPO headlight lasts around 60–80% as long as genuine, at about half the price.
What is the price of a DEPO headlight in Pakistan?
It depends on the model. For example, a Civic X LED headlight is PKR 63,000 and a Corolla Grande headlight is PKR 72,900, per piece.
Are DEPO headlights sold in pairs?
No, they are sold per piece. To replace both sides, order the left and right headlights separately.
Are DEPO headlights available for older cars?
Yes. We stock DEPO headlights for older models where genuine lights are no longer available new, such as the 1992–1995 Honda Civic.
